Vehicle appraisal

A vehicle appraisal you can act on.

Know what a vehicle is worth before you decide what to do with it. A Fleet Desk appraisal starts with a desktop valuation from your own photos and condition report, and is confirmed by a physical inspection.

Desktop valuation

You photograph the vehicle, tick what is damaged and submit. You receive an indicative range set against verified market data and the damage reported. It works for roadworthy, accident-damaged and non-running vehicles alike.

A desktop valuation is indicative until we inspect the vehicle in person. It is not an offer to buy and not a guaranteed sale price; the final price is set at auction, above the reserve you agree.

What you need

Self-inspection is free for private sellers and takes about 15 minutes:

  • the registration number or VIN, and the current mileage
  • eight photos: all four sides, the interior, the odometer, the VIN plate and the damage

Physical inspection and call-out appraisal

Before a vehicle is sold, it is inspected in person and its details are validated against official records. After a desktop appraisal, companies, private sellers and buyers can also ask for a call-out appraisal, where one of our appraisers inspects the vehicle in person and the report is signed off by us. Rates are on the company plans page.

After the appraisal

You choose what happens next: consign the vehicle to an upcoming auction, have us arrange a physical inspection first, or walk away. If you consign, the vehicle moves through eight recorded stages:

  1. Inspect. The vehicle's condition, photographs and mileage are recorded.
  2. Validate. Registration and licensing details are checked against official records and the vehicle itself.
  3. Appraise. A valuation is produced from verified market data and the condition record.
  4. Mandate. A reserve is agreed with you and confirmed before anything else happens.
  5. Secure documents. The registration paperwork is verified and held securely.
  6. Stock in. The vehicle is formally accepted into the disposal process.
  7. Sell. The vehicle is sold through a vetted auction partner.
  8. Settle. Proceeds are reconciled and paid out through the disposing partner. No funds are held on the platform.
